This month’s warm days are continuing will little rain. I can’t remember when it has been this dry with exceptionally calm days. Fishing had been quite slow due to the very strong current flowing down the coast. The fish seem to hide in their caves and holes during these times. However it has stopped flowing strongly and the fish have come out. Mackerel & tuna have been hard to find.

Geoff booked a 3 day charter with his kids, 8 year old Billy, Jack and mate Gazza. Strong easterlies kept us inshore and that is where the fish were. Billy had a burster of a trip landing some good fish. His first dhuie needed a bit of a hand from me and then finished off by Gazza. Then he got this sandsnapper all by himself.

Gazza got the biggest sandsnapper and Geoff landed multiple baldchin groper.

Bobby did well on the second day landing this dhuie by himself and went on to land a good sized rankin cod on the last day.
