Fishing has been a bit slow lately, but it sure turned on for Easter! Multiple charters and all boats hired, saw most catch quite a few fish. We bagged out most days on the charter with some really nice fish. Weather has come good now and its all go for the season!
Late March just before Easter, Anna landed this red emperor whilst out on charter.
She is still talking about it!
On the same trip Steven got onto a big cobia
Sean picked this spotted mackerel up from the bottom
A few fish from the 6.1m boat
Dean Cook and mate Luke have had the 6.1m boat for a few days and been getting fish each day.
Luke got this nice baldchin out on the 3 mile,
while Dean holds a spotted mac caught on a floating mullie.
They have been doing very well on mudcrabs each evening, and enjoying them as entrees.
A day out in the 5.3m boat
A short video of gopro clips filmed by a customer out in the 5.3m boat.
Easter charters went off, with lots of fish
Here Ernie holds his first cobia while his mates are both hooked up. You have to work through the sharks to get the cobia.
A double hook-up of cobia from the bottom.
Some of the fish from the trip,
and Ricky’s baldchin groper.
Next day out was with Troy, Peter, Wilson and Mates,
All got into some nice fish
Wilson had the catch of a life time when casting a small chrome slice to small tuna, hooked up onto something bit bigger than expected, taking 45 minutes to subdue this 9.00kg longtail on the flick rod.
Troy and Peter had another day out but this time with Carl and Sean, (Aka Shark Man)
An early mackerel for Carl,
followed by a chunky tuna for Troy.
Then a couple of quadruple hook-ups on mackerel saw us land 6 mackerel in total.
Sean was so happy he bombed Peter’s best mac photo.
A couple of baldchin groper for Peter later on.
And then he finished off with a cobia, one of three landed that day.

19th March 2016
Jo took this 13kg mulloway from the beach while Steven landed two mangrove jacks from around the boat pens.
This jack went 2kgs, what a monster!
Bite of the Month
Bite of the Month goes to Anna with the best fish this month, a lovely red emperor.
She won’t stop talking about it!
I award Bite of the Month to someone who catches the best fish
from one of my boats.
