Murchison Boat Hire has been operating in Kalbarri for the past 18 years, supplying quality boats for hire to the general public, fishermen, whale watchers and commercial work. We are a family-owned fishing boat hire business located in the beautiful North Western Australia, where some of the best fishing for bottom and game fish is available along Western Australia's coral coast. With the unexpected events of COVID-19 in 2020, we ran our 3 boats out of Dampier until recently. Times have changed again and now the 5.3m boat along with our 6.5m "Tokoloshe" are back in Kalbarri and are now available for hire. The 2 x 6.5m boats "Tokoloshe" and "Ehzzah" are now relocated back to Dampier and ready for hire. Call to discuss your requirements. Please note - We do not offer charters.
About Us
Our boats are self-drive hire boats - it is a requirement that someone with a WA Skipper's ticket or equivalent is on the boat at all times.

Kalbarri is home to many iconic landmarks and some beautiful scenery. There is lots more to do while you are here, just pop into the Visitor's Centre.

Our smallest boat in the fleet, the 5.3m boat is licensed for 5 persons to 3nm offshore, is easily launched and ideal for a small crew. Powered by a 100hp, very economical 4-stroke Yamaha and complete with all the required safety gear as well as a Garmin 557 GPS with lots of waypoints plotted. Also includes a Garmin EchoMap Plus 65cv Fishfinder.

Powered by a 150hp 4-stroke Yamaha, generating 30 knots, this boat will get you where you want fast! New fly-by wire controls. Complete with all the required safety gear. It has a Garmin 577GPSMap with lots of waypoints plotted and a Colour sounder. The boats are all fully carpeted.

Dampier, WA has some of the best bottom and game fishing available along the West Australian coast! Our trailerised fishing, diving & whale watching craft are all powered by 4-stroke Yamaha motors, and supplied with all the required safety gear, you may tow away to “your secret location” anywhere along the West Australian coastline.
